BULK FOODS - We offer high
quality fish food DIRECT from the baker. Our baker has been baking high
quality foods for over 30 YEARS! In fact, he probably bakes for some
of the "labels" you currently buy. STOP PAYING FOR HYPE and start spending
your money wisely. The fish food we offer has natural ingredients and NO
PRESERVATIVES. |
We offer many flavors to handle and type
of aquarium fish and we have them in several sizes to fit your budget and
feeding schedule. Now for the best part. Our bulk food is so
good, and we ar so confident
your fish will eat it that we have been offering a buy back guarantee for years,
and have never bought back a single pellet, stick or flake.
In our store, you will find ingredients
and analysis listed with each flavor. We offer bits, pellets, sticks and
flake foods for all types of fish. You should always have a wide variety
of foods available for a balanced diet. Specialty foods are not for
"everyday" use, but as aids after fish are sick, or before shows to help with
color.
#1 Seller - EARTHWORM STICKS
- Show me a fish that refuses a worm, even the ones not allowed to eat them
tear em up!
OUR FOOD WILL NOT CLOUD YOUR TANK! When
trying new food, you should always start out with a small portion to see if it
contains fillers that cloud your tank, but you don't have to worry with ours.
Flake Food -
is possibly the most common type of fish food
available. It comes in many colors and even sizes that provide a
wide range of nutrition to all aquatic fish.
Flake
food is easy to store and shelf and can even be kept in the freezer for
long term storage although most of the moisture content is gone and does
not require it. Flake food is a main staple for most fish and should
always be available in any fish room. Flake food is mostly for
surface and community fish and is the easiest to overfeed. Flake
food can be easily crumbled for small mouths and will stay in the water
column for mid swimmers. Flake food also comes in many specialty
diets to aid with sick fish, vegetarians and even to help promote color
before shows. The flake food offered by Baylees is of the highest
quality and is made without any preservatives and contains natural
ingredients. |
| Pellet Food -
has the highest nutritional value of dry
foods and can be kept for long periods of time. It has a much higher
moisture content than flake and should be kept in proper containers or
frozen for longer storage between use.
Pellet
foods are mostly for fish with healthier appetites and larger mouths
however, smaller grains are available all the way down to a powder for
raising newly hatched fry. Pellets can both sink and float, but
typically the larger pellets will float unless they have the opportunity
to soak first as they are usually filled with some air. This allows
for active surface feeders to attack the food before it hits the bottom
and you should pay attention to bottom feeders and weaker fish to make
sure they are getting fed. AIR DOES NOT CAUSE BLOAT, WATER QUALITY
DOES. Pellet foods are easier to control with feeding as to not over
feed and can be a great inexpensive alternative to live foods to give your
fish a balanced diet of nutrition not found in all foods. The pellet
food offered by Baylees is of the highest quality and for a sinking pellet
stay 1mm- 1.5mm or smaller. |
| Sticks -
are the perfect answer to bottom feeders,
however
all fish will attack them while sinking to the bottom. Sticks are
typically flake food that is extruded and will soften on the bottom for
easier feeding. All sticks should sink to the bottom and are
available in many nutritional varieties from veggie, brine shrimp,
tropical to the ever famous earthworm which is made with REAL EARTHWORMS.
Guppies will attack the earthworm sticks and the plecos and catfish will
finish them off! Sticks add to your balanced diet as you can
now feed all fish in your tank. Sticks are typically about 3mm in
diameter and about 1/2 inch in length and can be broken in half or simply
left alone as they will separate once they find the bottom. THEY
WILL NOT CLOUD YOUR TANK! |
| Wafers -
are another
food
that sinks that is more along the lines of a flattened pellet.
Unlike sticks that will separate, wafer will stay solid much longer.
Wafers are flat and allow for easy feeding for all of your bottom feeders
like plecos and catfish. The most common wafer is the algae wafer
with is specifically designed with plecos in mind. To give them a
perfect balanced diet with the nutrition they need to grow and breed.
Wafer are about 15mm round and 1mm thick or slightly smaller than a dime.
Make sure to have some of these on hand if you really love your plecos!! |
